I haven’t watched a game all season, why start now?

I actually asked my wife where she wanted to watch the Super Bowl /commercials and she said she didn’t even want to.

I’m ok with that.

Today was a lazy Sunday for us, after a funeral wake on Friday then Service on Saturday. I leave for Indianapolis tomorrow for the week.

Both games were good. Both games had shit officiating at critical moments. Rams/Chiefs would have been a much-needed breath of fresh air. Ran into a school parent at the grocery store before the game. He was wearing a noticeably old Patriots toque. We talked about the upcoming game, and he said that he’s more of an 80s Patriots fan. “ Back in the Schaefer Stadium, Steve Grogan days.” Back in the era of the uglier Pats uniforms. He said that the new generation of Pats fans have it too easy.

God, I’m sick of the Patriots.

Yes, really good, I have not been watching nearly as much NFL as I used to, but both matchups  today looked like they could be really good games.  Both were good, but the AFC game was fantastic.  I kind of like both teams, so I was rooting for a good game.  Was not disappointed.

It was a great game with a shitty outcome. Another Super Bowl with the pats? Boring. Chiefs-Rams would have been so much better.

Yep. Maybe the Rams have a shot, but they've seemed kind of uneven down the stretch. And even though this is a Super Bowl rematch, it really doesn't feel like it because so much time has passed. But I'm definitely pulling for LA now.

That's a given for me. I can't stand NE. And this doesn't feel like a rematch. New city, exciting young team, and a head coach who is a few weeks younger than me (I turned 33 a few weeks ago).

This game was good, but that game felt like we we watching the future of the NFL. Two dynamic teams in a shootout. The first game in history that a team scored 50 points and lost. I'll remember that game for years. I'll forget this one in a few months because it was just another stupid pats win.
